Until You Come Back Home is Cristiana Marques' debut novel. It tells the story of Mads and Carter, two childhood best friends who have parted ways without saying goodbyes. I recommend it for anyone who likes a good romance.
Both of them, strong business women who were always on stand-by to dish and wine. This quote resonates SO MUCH with me so I had to start my review with it. Madelaine and Carter are two really good and funny characters with traits that we can relate to. Childhood friendships stay longer with us, rather love probably stays forever! Mads and Carter are two beautiful souls always giving the vibes of just meant for each other until 18, they are ripped apart. This separation is a result of certain decisions on their half, A journey from Portugal to London.

To finish up the character talk, Holly and Sasha were so present and had such a story arc that they felt like main characters to me. Especially if you are looking for a quick read that will lighten your heart and help you pass the time. I'd absolutely recommend it and look forward to read the next installement in these Mc's lives. At the same time all the conflict in this book is resolved a bit too quickly. This book is pitched as an enimies-to-lovers but the enemy part is resolved in 2 or 3 chapters, which leaves the reader with the flavor of not enough. As many new authors tend to do, Cristiana write's this book telling instead of showing.
She'd married well, had six children and then one winter night, for some unknown reason, she'd driven her car into the Yellowstone River. Because there were no skid marks on the highway, it had looked like a suicide. He smiled, first with his eyes and then his lips, just a little, just enough to turn his face into something that made my pulse pick up. "You can stay if you'd like," he said, flirting right back. Then, a wicked light gleaming in his eyes, he went one step too far. "But I think there are too many people around for what I'd like you to stay for."

Accompanied by the recipes, you could sometimes actually smell the food. I think that although the story was interesting and sweet, I also think that the book could have been longer. Some of the things, like the main relationship in the book, moved a little fast.
This was such funny, warm and fluffy book about friendship, love, dreams and finding hope when all seems lost. I really enjoyed Mads and Carter's personalities and the way their relationship is presented to the reader transitioning between their past and present. The pacing of the book is fast and although events are predictable, you feel invested in the plot that you simply don't want to put the book down. I appreciated the bi representation and the way the author approached romance in general through the book. The fact that it was set in Europe was refreshing as I often read books set in America and I loved that Mads turns to baking when things get tough because I love baking as well! The reason I took a star off my rating is I felt that the story, yes is predictable, but was also often resolving conflicts quite easily.

That's how Madeleine felt when she realized she was in love with her childhood best friend, Carter. It wasn’t a five star read for me because I find the characters immature at times which was frustrating to read. The conflict was also quickly resolved, so I wish that one had more build up.
The track is first heard after the protagonist’s, newly-wed husband, Luke Morrow , departs for active military duty. In this part of the film, Cassie creates an E-Mail to her lover that she barely knows in an attempt to “Fill in the gaps” about herself that they didn’t have time to discuss prior to their eloped wedding. The song was again covered in 1983 by Luther Vandross who released it on his album Busy Body as part of a medley with "Superstar", as well as its closing track. The medley peaked at no. 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 and no. 5 on the Hot Black Singles chart in 1984.

And Carter, a sweet dork, who got his heartbroken when Mads left without saying goodbye and stayed in Portugal to pursue a career in architecture. When a young girl falls in love with a young boy for the first time, all the stars in the universe come together to form a heart pattern. Every fiber of her body becomes as soft as a marshmallow, as colorful as the rainbow and as free as the ocean.
This was such a heart-warming, fluffy love story between two best friends who have parted ways without saying goodbye and then meeting after five years. This was a short read and I finished the book in 2 hours. The plot was interesting at all times which mainly focused on letting go of the past and embracing the future.
All the best Cristiana, for I know you can come back with a great second novel. Oh and she has amazing recipes for you in her book. The characters captured my attention at once and I was enraptured with the chemistry of both couples and on that note, I absolutely LOVED the bi rep. • I thought the story was rushed, particularly the romance.
We all love a HEA, but we also love some angst, which I found myself missing at times. This book is a friendship-to-semi-enemies-to-lovers. Two high school best friends, lose contact and find eachother again in London. Its an easy, closed-door read and I imagine it being great to get you out of a reading slum. + The book was easy and the author took me along with the different perspectives. The flashbacks also helped to develop the main characters.

It was a delight to enter this story, and it brough me out of the funky mood I've been, where I want to read but don't really feel like opening up a book . I was ecstatic when one of the supporting characters courageously stood up for herself. • The format of inserting baking recipes in the middle of the book is one of my absolute favorites. I'll give one or two of the recipes a try later.
I just wish the enemies part were explored more than Madeleine and Carter quickly reconnecting. I hated that Holly intervened when Carter tried to contact Madeleine, mainly because this scenario had been used many times. But this was the turning point and without it then we wouldn't be here. The idea behind this romance story was a really good one and it had so much potential. The characters be it Madeleine, Carter, Sasha or Holly and their perspectives was uplifting and entertaining.
